How we work

The Process

Seven stages. One designer across all of them.

01

Enquiry

Tell us about your project. We'll have a conversation about what you're trying to achieve, your site, your timeline, and your budget. No obligation — just a conversation.

02

Feasibility

Before anything is designed, we test whether your project is viable. We look at planning rules, site constraints, budget ranges, and the council process. This step saves money and avoids surprises later.

03

Concept Design

This is where the project takes shape. We develop the spatial idea — the form, the plan, the relationship between inside and outside. You review and respond. We refine.

04

Design Development

The concept is deepened and detailed. We coordinate with engineers, resolve construction details, specify materials and finishes. The building becomes something that can actually be built.

05

Consents

We prepare and lodge the resource consent and building consent applications, managing the council process and responding to requests for further information. This takes as long as it takes — we stay across it.

06

Documentation & Coordination

We produce the full set of construction documents and coordinate with contractors during the build. We answer questions, review substitutions, and make sure what gets built matches what was designed.

07

Delivery

We're on site, reviewing progress, attending to the details that matter. Architecture isn't finished on paper — it's finished when the last fitting is placed and the building works as designed.
