COOP House sits behind an existing period home on Royal Parade in Pascoe Vale South. The rear extension asked a simple question: how do you build something new on a constrained suburban block without pretending the old building doesn't exist?
The answer was the gabled form — its polycarbonate upper panels filter changing light into the living spaces throughout the day. A curved timber slat wall marks the threshold between the two structures. Corten steel garden beds, raw cedar cladding, and polished concrete give the extension its material weight.
