A home is not a product. It accumulates meaning over time — the way morning light reaches a particular bench, the proportion of a hallway, a threshold that makes arrival feel considered. These things don't happen by accident, and they don't happen at the end of a project. They are decisions made early, held carefully, and tested at every stage of design.

We work across the full range of residential scale: single dwellings on difficult sites in Tāmaki Makaurau, substantial alterations to villas and bungalows, new builds on rural properties across Te Ika-a-Māui. Each project starts with the site — its orientation, its neighbours, its particular relationship to ground — before we begin working with the brief. Most clients arrive with a programme they've assembled from years of living in houses that didn't quite work. We take that seriously.

Because we handle both architecture and interiors under the same roof, the decisions that typically fall into the gap between two separate consultants — joinery profiles, material transitions, where built-in storage ends and architecture begins — stay resolved. The result is a finished building that holds together rather than one where the fit-out and the shell feel like they came from different conversations.
